  3. Note: APDA products are listed in three groupings:
  4.   1) products from Apple Computer
  5.   2) Third-party software
  6.   3) books (not listed in this file).
  7. These products are for sale only to APDA members. This file
  8. is for reference, not ordering, purposes; members should order
  9. from the April, 1987 issue of "The APDAlog."

  11. PRODUCTS FROM APPLE COMPUTER
  12.  
  13.     Apple software is provided to APDA members subject to the
  14. conditions contained in the membership agreement and the
  15. application signed when joining APDA.
  16.     APDA Apple products are provided without technical support.
  17.     Products marked New! have been added since the publication
  18.     of "APDAlog Update"(March, 1987).

  20. MACINTOSH SOFTWARE
  21.  
  22. Macintosh Programmer's Workshop  (MPW); v. 1.0.2
  23.     MPW is a complete, professional-level, integrated programming
  24. environment for the Macintosh. Requires a Macintosh (or Lisa
  25. running MacWorks) with at least 512K of RAM and 1.6MB of disk
  26. storage. 1MB of RAM and a hard disk are highly recommended.

  28. MPW C Language; v. 1.0.2
  29.     MPW C contains a native Macintosh C compiler from Green Hills
  30. Software, standard C library, Macintosh interface libraries, and
  31. sample programs. Requires MPW v.1.0.2(see above).

  33. MPW Pascal Language; v. 1.0.2
  34.     MPW Pascal contains a native Macintosh Pascal compiler, run-
  35. time library, Macintosh interface libraries, and sample programs.
  36. Requires MPW v. 1.0.2(see above).

  38. MPW 1.0.2 Update Package
  39.     This single product upgrades all three Apple MPW 1.0 products
  40. to version 1.0.2. Note: you only need this if you purchased MPW
  41. 1.0.

  43. MacApp: The Expandable Macintosh Application; v.1.0
  44.     MacApp, an object-oriented programming library, implements
  45. the standard features common to most Macintosh application
  46. programs. MacApp 1.0 requires Macintosh Programmer's Workshop
  47. (MPW) and MPW Pascal v 1.0 or v 1.0.2(see above).

  49. Macintosh Programmer's Workshop  (MPW)v. 2.0B1    New!
  50.     This is a prerelease version of MPW 2.0. Accordingly, it has not
  51. received the same level of testing as MPW 1.0.2. The price for
  52. this product includes an update to the final version of MPW 2.0, and a
  53. copy of the System Disk from the Macintosh System Software v. 2.0
  54. package. There have been some significant changes in system
  55. requirements to run MPW 2.0B1. Requires a Macintosh, with at least
  56. 128K of ROM (Macintosh 512KE [with additional RAM], Macintosh
  57. Plus, Macintosh SE, Macintosh II), 1 MB RAM or more, a double-
  58. sided disk drive, and a hard disk.

  60. MPW C Language; v. 2.0B1;    New!
  61.     This is a prerelease version of MPW C 2.0. Accordingly, it has
  62. not received the same level of testing as MPW C 1.0. The price for
  63. this product includes a free update to the final version of MPW C
  64. 2.0. Requires MPW 2.0B1.

  66. MPW Pascal Language; v. 2.0B1    New!
  67.     This is a prerelease version of MPW Pascal 2.0. Accordingly, it
  68. has not received the same level of testing as MPW Pascal 1.0. The

  70. of MPW Pascal 2.0. Requires MPW 2.0B1.

  73.     MacApp 1.1 extends MacApp 1.0 to support the features of the
  74. Macintosh SE and Macintosh II. It requires MPW and MPW Pascal v.

  78.     Contains release notes and new software only. Only available to
  79. members who have previously purchased MacApp v.1.0.

  84. listed above. The price includes a free upgrade to the final

  102. Smalltalk Products
  103.  
  104. Smalltalk-80  v. 0.3
  105.     Smalltalk consists of an object-oriented programming language
  106. and an integrated programming environment for that language. The
  107. version described here can be used for prototyping or
  108. educational purposes but were not designed to be used for serious
  109. software development.
  110.     Version 0.3 can be used on a Macintosh with at least 1MB of
  111. RAM  such as a Macintosh Plus or XL; a hard disk is recommended.
  112. However, it will NOT work on a Macintosh SE or Macintosh II. Apple
  113. will soon release a version 0.4 which will work on any Macintosh
  114. with at least 1 MB of RAM; a low-cost upgrade to 0.4 will be
  115. available to owners of version 0.3.
  116.     Apple cannot provide any support for Smalltalk, not even to Apple
  117. certified or registered developers.

  119. Script Manager Products
  120.  
  121. Arabic Macintosh System Software v.1.1    New!
  122.     The Arabic Macintosh System Software provides an Arabic
  123. language version of the Macintosh System Software.  If you have
  124. purchased the Script Manager Developers Package v. 1.0, then you
  125. do not need to purchase this package.
  126.  
  127. Kanji Macintosh System Software v. 1.1    New!
  128.     The Kanji Macintosh System Software (Kanji Talk) provides a
  129. Japanese language version of the Macintosh System Software.
  130. If you have purchased the Script Manager Developers Package v.
  131. 1.0, you do not need to order this package.

  133. Script Manager Developer's Package v. 1.0    New!
  134.     The Script Manager is a new set of Toolbox extensions which
  135. allows applications to function correctly with non-Roman writing
  136. systems (ie. scripts) such as Japanese and Arabic, as well as with
  137. Roman writing systems such as English, French, and German.

  139. Macintosh System Software v. 2.0    New!
  140.     This product contains the April 1987 Macintosh System
  141. Software (Universial System Disk), printer drivers, and utilities.
  142. Contains the following versions of system software: System 4.1,
  143. Finder 5.5, LaserWriter 4.0, Laser Prep 4.0, ImageWriter 2.6,
  144. AppleTalk ImageWriter 2.6.
  145.     You can use this product to test your software for compatability
  146. with the new system software.
